Starbucks to close

Starbucks Corp. announced today it will close each of its nearly 7,100 company-operated stores on Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Starbucks spokeswoman Bridget Baker confirmed in an e-mail to The Enterprise that the company's Beaumont location, 3935 Dowlen Road, and Nederland location, 3610 Highway 365 will be affected by the close.

According to a news release from Starbucks, the company is closing its stores temporarily to educate its employees on product information in hopes to "transform the customer experience."

"The comprehensive educational curriculum for all U.S. store partners will provide a renewed focus on espresso standards that will help ensure the exceptional quality of every beverage," the release stated. "As a result, baristas will be better prepared to share their passion and knowledge with customers. Customers will be able to truly enjoy the art of espresso as Starbucks baristas demonstrate their passion to pull the perfect shot, steam milk to order, and customize their favorite beverage."

Its like telling the baristas "duh! this is how u makes teh coffee" after they've been working for 2 years. And this is why i get dragged to coffee bean everyday instead of starbucks.i think
